Sectoral Skills Framework

The Sector Skills Framework serves as a comprehensive tool for identifying the skills required within the sector. It defines the competencies needed for each occupational group across the sector’s value chains. The framework follows a structured approach to identifying sector-specific skills requirements, beginning with the classification of occupational groups across the sector’s sub-sectors, followed by the identification of key job roles, career pathways, and the priority skills required for each role.
Develop an overview of the sector and its subsectors, the major trends in the sector, and the skills required in line with those trends, in addition to identifying job categories and career paths in the tourism and hospitality sector.
Provide details on the technical and soft skills associated with the main job categories in the Kingdom’s tourism and hospitality sector.
The Excel tool serves as a supplementary publication to the Tourism and Hospitality Sector Skills Dictionary report and the Introduction to the Tourism and Hospitality Sector Skills Framework. The tool focuses on two main types of skills: general skills and technical skills.

Professional Standards Framework

National occupational standards documents provide comprehensive descriptions of professions and their associated job roles, including the knowledge, skills, requirements, and competencies needed to perform specific duties and responsibilities. They also cover the applications and uses of these standards across various areas, depending on the target users. These users include human resources professionals, training providers and centres, as well as other stakeholders involved in human capital development and capacity building.
